I remember Wez had a thread about this before, but couldn't find it, and I don't think the question was answered anyway.
With a guitar that has individual pickup volumes, and you want to install a master volume as well as keep the others, how do you choose the pot values?
There must be a way to keep the brightness of the 500k resistance that a pot offers?
On my LP someone had done this with stock pots, presumably 300k, and it sounded very dull.

i think experimentation is the key to finding a set of pots you will be happiest with
i must admit i dropped the idea for my SG and went with the normal control layout

i would try it with 1M neck and bridge volumes, with a 1M master volume and 500k master tone

I have a Gretsch with two volumes and a master volume. All pots are 500K CTS ones with a treble bleed cap on the master volume.
