Title: Epi les paul needs saving!
Post by: Ginger Ninja on April 26, 2005, 03:12:14 PM
Basically I have got an Epiphone Les Paul Standard in Heritage Cherry Sunburst and it is VERY awesome and I am very pleased with it. The only gripe I have with it is the stock pickups are a pile 'o' cr@p and I want some new ones. I looked into getting some Gibson Tony Iommi pickups but it seems knowhere in the country stocks them!

A couple of mates of mine (one of which is registered on here! He's the one with the ashdown fallen angel and a fender lite ash strat!) suggested some Bare Knuckles so ive had a look and a listen and am very impressed. Trouble is, what do I choose!

Im most impressed with the Warpig and might consider getting my LP fitted with two of these beasts... but how versatile are they? Im mainly a metal/rock rhythm/lead player but I am partial to a bit of blues, funk and anything else too!

From what I've heard, I reckon you should get a pair of Miracle Men, or at least one in the bridge.  Something like a Black Dog or Emerald would be nice in the neck and with a Miracle Man in the Bridge, it should sound ace.

Me, I'm getting some Trilogy Suites, would be nice if the pickups had the BKP name silk screened on them :D

Tempting. So much to choose from and so little money! I'l give them a try then, i love the power of the warpig but im not sure if it will be a bit too powerful for me, im only a ginger after all.

Ive read great reviews of the miricale man on websites and i think Total Guitar reviewed it once?! Correct me if im wrong

Yes, Total Guitar gave the Miracle Man a very good review.

Tonight I will be able to give my Miracle Man it's first real workout ...

You can hear a quick demo of the Miracle Man in the players room.

They're great for LP style axes, a little tighter in the bass than a Warpig.
