Have on old Laney A10012 (the 100 watt AOR Pro-Tube Lead 2x12 combo) that I purchased a approx a year ago. For power tubes, it currently has 3 Groove Tube EL-34s and a 4th that I literally have no idea what it is (slightly larger than the GTs and no printing ANYWHERE on it). It also has 4 12AX7s pre amp tubes......one marked as a Mesa STR-12AX7 (also says ECC83) and 3 others (once again) unlabeled. It sounds pretty good already, but I can't help but think that it could only benefit from having a matched set (or a specific combination) of pre and power amp tubes, rather than the mish mash presently in it. As always you help/input/advice is welcome and appreciated! :D

Your amp would definitely benefit from a matched quad of power valves- you will probably need to get a tech to check the bias too to ensure it's running properly... pre-amp valves I would recommend JJ ecc83's (good gain & a softer tone) or tung-sol's - very tough, good gain...
