I've called round a couple of stores and custom shops with little luck other than to find out they're looking for the same stuff!
I'm trying to track down some of the foam/rubber padding that sits in the trem route on the front of the guitar to prevent the trem from dameging the body when un-strung...
if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it - the custom's on hold till i find something!
thanks

So...you want some foam, basically.
Improvise. I'd start by trying a (suitably carved up) mousemat.

...yeah, that'd probably work... (insert embarrassed smiley!)
i'll go back to my cave like a good neanderthal

;) Quite welcome
I figure its the same basic stuff. You want a dense rubbery foam; theres loads of it about, it doesnt have to be guitar specific :)

as long as the finish on a guitar you want to use it on won't react to the rubber right?
-
Good point. Some will some wont. Might be tricky to find out.

well, the top coat is polishe polyurethane (sp?) so i guess it'll be a bit of trial and error
cheers

I thought people just slipped a bit of card down there when restringing? Am I talking about the right bit?
