very impressive(!)
ozzy looks like a lost soul, but hes in pretty good voice

Sounds just like Zack to me. Possibly slightly less pinched harmonics, but more of the same old same old by the looks of it.
I wonder if he's crying into his biker beard?

I'll just say what I said on another forum when I streamed that show live....
Ozzy seems to have replaced Zakk with a Zakk wannabe.
Gus seems to be playing more in that vein though, he's not normally so pinch happy from what I know of.
Gus played a good set I guess, but absolutely didnt put his mark on any of the songs, I think he must have been given a live bootleg of Ozzy and Zakk to learn the songs or something, because he was using Zakk's fills, especially for I Don't Know. And went pinch crazy, I was hoping he'd do better tbh, but by no means bad, he absolutely has the chops to play those songs.
I think given a few more shows...and uhh...Sharon and Ozzy's blessing, he'll put his own twist on the songs.

Many less pinch harmonics. The guitar is unusually low in the mix for Ozzy too.
I quite like it, he has left the tunes quite original, whereas other guitarists really put their own on it.
Not quite sure if thats a good or bad thing though. Zakk changed the songs to his own way once and left it that way, but Jake seemed to play things differently on each tour.

some people thought zakk was a randy wannabe, i'm giving gus a chance

I don't see any of Ozzy's guitarist in GG, other than the EMG tone actually.
Something I look for with the different guitarists is the signature they put on the songs to make it different. I would quite like to see what he is capable of with Ozzy, as his Firewind stuff is quite good for its style IMO.
Jake's first gig with Ozzy was 11 days after being told to learn the songs I think, and by then he had defined the basics of how he was going to change the songs

really weird seeing Gus G playing for Ozzy, is this a temp or permanent thing? I know he was filling in for Arch Enemy a bit when Chris Amott took a break
I can't see him leaving Firewind for Ozzy, I remember when Gus was in 4 or 5 bands at the same time and and he left them all apart from Firewind because that's where he wanted to focus

Playing guitar for Ozzy Osbourne is hardly a full time job, Ozzy probably won't do another world tour, and at the very, very most has two albums left in him, he barely plays live anymore at all.
Zakk managed to balance Pride & Glory, his solo stuff, Black Label Society, all while being Ozzy's go to Axeman. If it is permanent, theres no reason Gus can't still be in Firewind.
