I came home from work today and I felt under the cover of my orange tt head and it felt like it was turned on. I am not sure though. If it was left on it was on for a good 14 hours. The standby switch was in the middle. I just am not sure it turns on ok and there was no cooked smell. What do you guys think? Are there any tells or smells that I should look for to see if it was on? This is driving me nuts. I swear to God that I will not leave my amp plugged in again that way it wont matter.

I would let it to a amp tech to be sure it's nothing wrong on it before turn it on

I already turned it on its on now and sounds fine minus the cr@ppy alnico 2 pros in my les paul I just want to know if anything could have happened or what I should look for
-
does the amp work or is it screwed?
if it works then don't sweat it - I'm not aware of any manuals that stipulate a maximum time an amp should be switched on.

Yeah. The major issue with valves is not extended usage but intermittent usage (being turned on and off often over regular, short, periods (more than two or three times a day.).).

I have SD Alnico 2 Pros in my Les Paul. I like them. (http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii98/marantz1300/6-1.jpg)

Any relevance to this thread?
Or is it the title (Screwed Up I think)
FWIW - I have enjoyed the sound of Alnico 2's too
Nice amps BTW.
