I had to rip out my BKP's because I am selling my guitar and wanted to reinstall the original Epi pickups. Just a little confused about them. There is no outer braided wire, its just has the normal plastic covering like on the 4 conductor wires. On the inside there is an inner covered wire and the loose metal wire on the outside. So, I am assuming that the inner wire is the hot which goes to the pot tag and the loose metal wire is the ground that I solder to the pot? Tried that, didn't work. Any help?
