I've got an Ibanez S540 and I'm not really sure what to do with it. At the moment it has DiMarzios in it (I always use them) but I've decided as an Englishman I should be buying English pickups :D
It has an X2N in it at the moment but I think I want to get a different tone. My music is quite "djenty" (I hate that word) but I get that kind of tone from my 7 string. So for bridge, I'm thinking something a bit more grungey - maybe like Adam Jones or Jerry Cantrell.
The middle single coil sized pickup is missing - I stripped out all the stock pickups when I replaced them with the DiMarzios - but I'd like to fill this gap again. I've got no idea what to put here (or when I'd even use it?)
For the neck, I want to be able to play smooth lead stuff ala old school Meshuggah (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkA63ia2oto#t=2m15s (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkA63ia2oto#t=2m15s)).
