Title: NBD: New Baby Day
Post by: ToneMonkey on September 08, 2009, 11:41:39 PM
Well, no pics just yet as the camera, wife and baby are still in hospital, but we're the proud new owners of a baby boy.  He's got his mums nose and he's not ginger so I've told her we can keep him.

Born yesterday at 4.21pm.  Weighed 8lb.  Laziest, sleepiest baby on the ward apparently (takes after his old man), but I can't see that lasting.

Poor little bugger didn't have the easiest entrance to the world as he decided to make it difficult for him and his mum but after 4 midwifes, nearly 24 hours, 2 hospitals and 45 minutes in an ambulance he's out with us.  He's perfectly healthy and mums doing good, she's had a realy tough time of it but she did an amazing job.  She really is a tough for such a little cute thing.

Hopefully both home tomorrow as she's itching to get out of the hospital, I'll post some pics over the next couple of days.

Cup of tea and bed I think.  :D

Great news, my congratulations to you and Mrs TM. I know exactly how you feel right now and it brings a smile to my face remembering what I felt when my boys were born.

Curses, beat me to it gwem  - seemed a bit daft earlier on in the thread, so I deleted my "can you tell whether he's a strat or LP kinda guy?" from my post...

I was gonna wait a few days and post a

"Now you've had it home for bit, any ideas what BKPs you might put in?"

NEway - hope it's not too much of a culture shock Tonemonkey, and you're both managing to get some rest :D

I came up with it 10am yesterday, but I've been sat on it... usually I'm the one that thinks "hey this'll be funny" on page 1, and then find someone's already posted it...

Still , "great minds..." and all that... (I bet we're not the only ones to think this one up though) :D

There's a lot of volume from the bottom end, but the top end is dominant and cuts through the mix well.  :?

This is the first kid and he and his mum have been home since about 6pm on Wednesday.  It's certainly different  :(

38th - You can stop smiling, just remember all the screaming and the feeling of total uselessness and that should sort it

Here's a pic of the little blighter.  He's got a lot of hair.

Don't wish to worry you, but in my experience that, er, doesn't go away, you just get used to it

Both my sons are in their 20's now and doing their own thing. I loved it, though, when they were little nippers. I loved being a Dad- best job in the world.

Well, I'm sat here in a dressing gown, baby is asleep upstairs (along with wifey) and I turned 30 yesterday.  Middle age seems to have hit me pretty hard and fast  :(
