Well I just got my Horus HGS MF which has been a long time in the making. The guitar is awesome. Fit and finish is flawless and it is just gorgeous. Plays great also. It is in B standard and sounds pretty great although it is getting a BKP Painkiller in the bridge and a Dimarzio Tone Zone S in the neck in the next few days. It also needs some bigger strings as the stockers are too floppy for my tastes, but I love this thing and think I have a new number 1 axe.
Oh you want pics?

Nice.
I like Caparisons with maple boards, and it's good to see a proper recess for the bridge rather than that strange semi-recess they often do (just like on the early 90s Japanese Charvels, unsurprisingly)
Does the HGS still have the 24 3/4" scale or is it longer?
-
I like the design of the Horus, but I'm not sure on the Mahogany + maple + black headstock... It's not exactly "bad looking" but I think it could look better!
How are you likeing it? Seemed some guys here on forum tried the Caparison and didn't like it, but I never found the thread of it...
-
I kind of guessed to myself there would be a picture of it on your ironing board, lol

MDV did a 'less than appreciative' thread after trying a Caparison.

Yes it is still 24 3/4" scale. They just move the bridge back a tad on the HGS's to help intonate better for low tunings. As for the quality and playability this is the 3rd Caparison I have played. All three have been stellar in every way. I'm sure a lemon gets out every now and then as with everything, but in my experience Caparison is right there with USA Jackson, japanese ESP's, J customs, etc. As for the black headstock I agree that it could match the body, but it doesn't bother me. The body is walnut, not mahogany.

F you :)

Great axe!!!
What I find strange is that it has both, locking tuners and a locking nut. Maybe it's to add some mass to the neck and provide better balance?

My bad
-
It doesn't have locking tuners. Just regular Gotoh HAP's. Wish it did have lockers though. Even with a locking nut locking tuners make string changes much quicker.

Sweet guitar. I had a Capa and a Suhr around the same time and the Capa was just as good, just a different vibe.
-
sweet :)

That's a really good-looking guitar, but I must admit I looked for a longer time at that pickup. That is a really nice cover, what is that called? Is that the "battle-worn" cover?
-
Yes it is a battle worn black cover.
-
does that thing have 26 frets?
-
27
...or 26 and 3/4 if you want to get picky.

F you :)
that was the funniest guess i've read in awhile, how did you come to that conclusion?
-
Because I always post pics of my guitars on my ironing board/workbench :)
-
An ironing board is a fabulous piece of kit: keyboard stand, temporary sideboard/drinks-cabinet, integral part of recording studio (to get non-rackmounted rack-mount gear near the piano and desk), TV stand, bar, the list is endless... you can even do your ironing on it... (EDIT: although it is far better if you can get someone else to do your ironing on it - that's the only area where the 2nd wife has not managed to exceed the 1st wife )
Guitar looks cute as well - not quite to my taste, but looks a lovely piece of work :D
-
Here are some more pics not on the ironing board :)

Still not to my personal taste, but they look even better seeing them together :D
(Now we've lost the ironing board, I assume you're not looking for comments/advice on the state of you lawn?)
-
Yeah my lawn looks like cr@p and I don't care :)

I've got Ironing Board Gas. Watch out for NIBD!
Nice bunch of guitars though!
