Title: Recording Guitars
Post by: Tellboy on September 11, 2009, 05:28:35 PM
For anybody remotely interested in recording guitars (electric or acoustic) I would recommend a visit to WH Smith to buy (or browse if you're financially challenged  :() MusiTech Focus Guitar Tech magazine,

It seems suitable for beginers up to more serious users and covers amongst other things miking techniques, computers, audio interfaces, personal multitrack recorders, modellers, DAWs, effects. There is a useful section on mixing guitars with suggestions on which frequencies to EQ to achieve a balanced mix. All in all a very good read !

Yes MusicTech Focus appears to do a few issues a year on different subjects. Subject of the next one is advertised as being Native Instruments. I think the Recording Guitars one is fairly new. It appears that they are exclusive to WHSmith.
