surely some of you are...or have been of those horrid stereotypes!
admit to it and let out your guilt!!!!
i'll take random guesses on who's who!
PhillyQ is the INDIE JESUS
MDV is the POST ROCKER

I was a "true metaller" once... (not the Manowar kind, more the Black Label Society kind)

Indie Jesus probably is the closest to me, but only because the rest of the Scenesters are about 100 years too young.
He's still pretty wide of the mark! Although I have had reasonably majestic locks in the past, my beard is far from epic.... and I've never even heard of those bands.

Some of these amuse me.
However, the post rock stereotype cats ARE hilarious. But they're nothing like the person described there. They all have berets and scarfs, for a start. And endless Hydrahead t shirts.
They DO spend all day in guitar shops with delay pedals though.

bang on... my old housemate WAS that guy..
he had the biggest pedalboard full of cr@p tone sucking cr@p.. but spent all his time making "soundscapes" and playing with delay like he invented it.. everyone has heard feedback loops by now!!
he also wore all black..
Oh yea, he also thinks tone quality doesnt matter (despite doing music tech at uni) and plays a plastic telecaster into a spider 3.. after many line 6 pedals.. and a distortion modeller... well to say the least at his gig, the sound guy turned his guitar right down when everyone went ouch and covered their ears..

The garden of the pub/venue I work in looks exactly like this on a Friday/Saturday night.
