Title: NAD
Post by: Ian Price on September 18, 2009, 03:31:24 PM
A bit of a belated new amp day for me. Actually it's not new either although it is as new!

I popped up to Dave's (Twinfan) place a few months ago to check out his amps and guitars and to let him have a go on my Esquire. My original aim was to order a Martamp but try out some different models first. After a few hours I had decided that the Deluxe was the one for me although maybe a bit out of my price range.

A few weeks went by where I was mulling things over - I was thinking about a roadstar as well. One day Dave asked if I was interested in buying his deluxe. Very interested was my response.

I picked it up from Wez's place a few weeks ago and sionce that day I have banished Line 6 noises from my house. The Martamp Deluxe is a great amp, sounds awesome and is power scaled so I can get good tones at loud TV levels. Infact it's so addictive that I was playing last night and before I knew it 4 hours of my life had dissappeared.

I am now most definitely GAS free when it comes to amps - I'm finding that I don't actually want any pedals now either!

Really glad you're enjoying it Ian.  It's a superb amp, and I really enjoyed it when I had it.  I'll probably regret selling it one day!

Just for the record folks, Ian was clearly in love with the Deluxe when he tried it at both the Manchester meet and at my house.  I realised I could get Power Scaling fitted to my Orion and reduce my amp collection by one, so I offered the Deluxe for sale to him.  I think it's worked out great for both parties!

Even if I did do Martin out of a sale - sorry mate

I did feel a little bit of guilt about that  :(. I did apologise to Martin as I felt that I had wasted his time by asking laods of questions - he did get some business out of it though!

I thought that amp had the best clean tone of the lot.
I would have bought it if I was looking.
Will go great with your non-humbucker equipped guitars

No need for guilt.  :) I'm just happy that you've got a good amp.
Enjoy it!
