Please be my friend! http://www.myspace.com/mjwamplification (http://www.myspace.com/mjwamplification)
There's some preliminary clips up there of the Goldstar TT, V6-20 and Orion. I'll do some more as and when stock, time and TF's Zoom H4 permits.
Cheers! :D

My word, that Orion sounds tasty! ;)
-
just been having a listen in work lid.
-
Cool! I suggest making a Facebook grp too, it's not like anyone uses myspace anymore PDT_009
-
any more? i never used it in the first place. I don't use facebook either... :)
EDIT: those clips sound great.
-
Thanks. :)
And thanks to those who've added me as a friend.
-
what guitar were you using on those clips, by the way? i thought it sounded a bit like a tele, but i'm not sure...
-
It's Martin's Strat for the cleaner stuff (60s Classic Player) and his Swamp Ash SG for the heavier stuff.
-
ah, ok, thanks dave. :)
-
Yeah, thanks Dave.
Actually it's mentioned in the blog on Myspace. Look at me, all modern an' stuff. 8)

Nice clips, the amps sound great :D
-
Ta! :)
-
Both amps sound great. I can't make up my mind about which one I like best though.

There are 3! They all sound good, though I would have liked to hear some single note things too. What speaker cabs were used? Did all of them use the same cab?
-
Yes, I'll hopefully get some lead lines on the next lot.
Tha cab was my MJW 4x10 for all the clips. Fitted with Celestion G10 Vintage.
-
Oh dear, I only heard two.Maybe I'd better go back then and get even more indecisive.

Interesting, there was some nice bass going on with the Goldstar and Orion. Which version (power amp), of the Goldstar was it? I had been thinking that I would like to try the V6-20 (being a big 6V6 fan), but I have to say that the Goldstar and Orion seemed to have more thump!
btw. Are you a motorcycle fan?
-
Yes, hmmm. Possibly I just had the amp set up differently. I wouldn't say the V6-20 is less bassy than the other two, and in fact the 'Blues' setting is JTM45-ish, so plenty of bass is available.
The Goldstar in the recording is my favourite configuration; an EL34.
Yes, I'm a bike fan, or was. I've owned about 45 in the last 30 years! Bike free at the moment though. :(
BTW 38thBeatle, you don't have to be indecisive, just have one of each.
-
think maybe a better mic setup for this, nice clips but are not as clear as I know they should be
-
Not much mic setup you can do on the internal mics of a Zoom H4.
As I said, they're preliminary clips. Better ones will follow I hope.
-
am liking so far great sounding amp can't wait for the better clips
