You can get what is coming, can't you?

I have shipped about 20 or 30 guitars (bought and sold) over the last few years with no hitches at all.

This time I used Parcels2Go and Parcel Farce came up at a good rate/time balance.

Yamaha SG2000 packed in the original hard case, in a cardboard guitar box, with the strings slackened and somehow they have managed to break the f***ing headstock during transit!!

Sorry for the rant, but I am really annoyed about this - the guy who has bought the guitar is being very understanding but we haven't got onto the question of ££££ yet!

I've not quite had that happen yet, but Tom's Pearl LP had the neck shifted.  I'm sure that received a fairly hefty knock, also by Parcel Force coincidently.  I also had a speaker that died in a 2x12 cab too and it was shipped with them.  Their stuff obviously gets BIG knocks  :(

Whatever you do, don't give the buyer the money back until you've been paid by Parcel Force.  They will want to inspect the guitar and packaging at the receiving end and if they've already got their money back they won't need to play ball.  You could then end up with no money and no guitar.....

I had a 2x12 cab where they managed to smash the magnet on the back of the speaker inside the solid 2x12 cab.. god knows how they did it.. i got nothing back in compo from them. id avoid parcel force and use a proper delivery company

never had issues myself but i did watch the delivery man drag a large box with a bass in out to the van, just let it drop down the kerb and everything

i very nearly lost it, but very quickly considered what else he would do with the box if i did.  luckily it arrived ok... but i did report the incident anyway

My Potbelly had taken a hit on the tailend strap button and chip some finish off when it arrived.  It was well packed too, little bits of finish in the bubble wrap.

None of the guitars (or any other items) I've sent through parcel force had any problems.

I used to subcontract for PF and i would never use them to ship anything-what used to go on in that depot was shocking!!

The guy who is repairing the guitar reckons that it must have had a hell of a bash - those Yam SG2000 have 3 piece laminated necks and are (usually) much stronger than Gibbos
