Post by: camf on October 04, 2009, 10:16:43 PM
Might be a clever move by Mister Yorke.

Love the quote near the end...

t's not yet clear if the band intend to write their own material, or if they've simply been put together by Yorke to recreate the increasingly weird noises that fester inside his head. One thing is clear, though: for anyone who has ever heard Yorke's solo material and thought, "Interesting stuff Thom … but this abstract bleepy wailing could really do with some funky slap bass", it really is your lucky day.

For those of the forum who have no idea what's going on, watch this video and make your mind up. I think it fits perfectly and I have no qualms with the dancing, Thom Yorke is still my biggest musical influence.

I much better liked Thom when he could sing-

After watching their performance at Reading, I just can't take Thom's whole "i'm so cool i can sing like shitee and get away with it," he's a genius, but I don't know why he let his voice go. That being said, I thought his late 90's voice was amazing, I developed my vibrato by imitating young Thom.

I'm with badgermark, I have total respect for Radiohead and Thom Yorke. I saw them earlier this year and they were brilliant. One of the best live bands I've ever seen... maybe just behind The Clash (I saw them three times). I think Thom Yorke is superb. I don't even mind the dancing.

Would probably sound better if he sang in tune.  :?

Radiohead are one of the greatest bands ever imo, absolutely incredible songs and musicianship. True craftsmen.

As someone who thinks the only greatest thing Radiohead ever achieved was the greatest amount of over-ratedness for a band in the world. That video was awful. I can't believe Flea has subjected himself to that.

I don't agree, they aren't even close to one of the greatest of all time, one of the worst of all time maybe??
