basically.. im looking for a SUPER SMOOTH neck pickup.. mike keane from the faceless (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3byhfC9PVXg) petrucci like for soloing.. and a super djenty (meshuggah:obzen) huge sounding bridge.. but also a pickup thatll be tight for death metal riffing (severed savior: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X99eBLldgWg). i'm in a progressive death metal band.. but also apart of a jazz fusion group on the weekends.. and i only have an ibanez s2020 guitar. (Thin Mahogany body * 25.5 inch scale length, bolt on maple neck, rosewood fretboard)my current APC persuader lead bridge pickup sorta broke.. it wont screw up and down and i cant adjust it. and the felony x neck pickup is super bassy.. just dead sounding. when im soloing its a combination of too bassy.. and just breaks up all weird. it's pretty hard to play with. so im thinking bareknuckles are the best/ most versatile thing out there right now. which ones are right for me?
im playing out of a mesa roadster head..modded ts808 tubescreamer.

coldsweat neck vs painkiller neck?

You want a SUPER SMOOTH neck pickup, which is the Cold Sweat.
-
Miracle Man would be my choice.
Painkiller seems popular as well.

Cold Sweat in the neck i'd suggest for the smoothest sounding neck pickup.
But the Miracle Man neck pickup is incredibly smooth sounding and plays much easier it's got a certain compression that makes the whole neck soloing thing a lot well smoother.
I personally like the Miracle Man neck with a Ceramic Warpig in the bridge for metal stuff.
Although it's been sometime since i've had pickups like these in my guitars.

I would agree, but since he has a mahogany guitar (and the thing with Les Pauls and Colds Sweats, etc.) I suggested Cold Sweats.
I have a Cold Sweat and Ceramic Warpig which is a beast of a combo :)

+1 on Miracle Man neck - it's super smooth, powerful & clear.
Clean & lead clip here (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=12572.0), clean only clip here (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=11927.0)
For the bridge, I agree with the Painkiller suggestion, it's a great metal pickup & powerful enough to balance with the MM neck (FWIW, the PK neck is great for soloing but I wouldn't describe it as "smooth" - it has a much harder, "in your face" sound). Can't comment on the CWP bridge as I've never had one...

just curious. what difference does it make with coldsweats and a mahogany guitar and the miracle man?

The MM will be tighter then the CS.... Less all purpose too.
