I just got a new Dean. A triple pickup Dean Cadillac time capsule guitar. It's a fantastic guitar!
The stock pickups sounded pretty good, but with a guitar this nice I thought I should get the best pickups made. So I put in a Miracle Man.
Wow! The bass is tighter and there is a better presence in the low mids.

Hey Mark! So glad you like the MM; gives me hope for when I drop mine into my Kamikaze 4 (this week, I hope).
To go off topic for a second, I saw JAG PANZER when you guys played with ICED EARTH at The World in NYC, and you guys RIPPED!! I picked up a copy of the JP DVD at the show, which you graciously signed, and have thoroughly enjoyed it!

Glad you liked the show! And good to see that someone else here in the U.S. has discovered these killer pickups.
To answer the 2nd post, YES! the Miracle Man is heavy enough for me.
The pickup has a great heavy tone, but it still sounds like my guitar. It's not like the electronics are dominating the sound (like another pickup I know....eh...81...85).

I think the Amercian made Deans have Duncans in em, not DiMarzio ...

The various models of Deans come with Duncan, DiMarzio's or Dean pickups.
I own 3 Deans. My high end model - The Cadillac - came with DiMarzio Super Distortions. My V and Vendetta came with Dean pickups. I believe the Dean Hardtail (similar to a PRS) comes with Duncan pickups on the high models.
I use only the bridge pickup for live shows. So for the gigs, I'll only be using my Miracle Man. When recording time comes around I'll get another Miracle Man for the neck position. I use that sound for some clean parts.

Chris (other guitarist in the band) is doing an instructional DVD. I'm not sure that status of it, but I'll ask him.
I produced the Gettysburg DVD for Iced Earth. That's coming out the first week in June.
I love doing the DVD work, I hope I can get more involved with this in the future.

My latest thing is building a Miracle Man with Alnico V for the neck-awesome power dirty, switch to clean and the tone is really classic and the inbetween is excellent.
I've been working on the MM wind over the past few months, adjusting the wind to control the highs a little and add a touch more mid. The MM I wound for you(and yours too Ben!)has a slight offset which I never did before in this pickup. It's only subtle but it's allowed me to up the wind a little without sacrificing clarity. It was whilst doing this that I moved one into the neck of my Foster LP and swaped out the ceramic for one of our unpolished Alnico Vs-on paper it shouldn't work but in practice it's amazing.
After gig testing at one of our shows I'm really pleased with the results so all the MMs will be wound this way now-it's not that the old ones were bad-I gigged the original for the past 2 years solid-if I think something can be improved, even slightly, I'll do it.
Out of interest the Alnico V Miracle Man neck works with lower gain bridge pickups too-there's no volume mismatch and you don't have to screw it all the way down either. :D

Don't forget-I play these babies too so the drive to get the pickups sounding their best isn't just for my customers, it's for me too-that's how I got into all this in the first place.
I think there's nothing more frustrating than being unhappy with your tone-in the end the playing suffers because you're not enjoying it. That's my motivation-more time playing, less time messing around. If I can make a pickup to the best of my ability with the best materials I can and the best tone, then that's one less thing to worry about.
