Any experience with the 50W/100W versions of these? I just got real bad GAS :(

played some in a brighton practice space. not the best experience mainly due to microphonic tubes... BUT better than i thought. i played some orange heads a while ago because i thought about getting one, but they weren't for me. the gain seemed more fuzzy to me than on other amps i prefered. but last time i used one i took along an OD-808 and that was a lot of fun. worth a go id say.

I never get the tone I want with Orange amplifiers, but everyone else seems to be able to

a 50w thunderverb?
i thought that amp was all about being 200watts?
or 100watt with redundant tube switching or something (cool idea)

Up until about 2 weeks ago I had the RV50 Head and it was just brilliant.  My favourite amp.
Sold it because it wasn't right for my current band (using my Marshall JVM) and couldn't afford to have a £1000 amp sitting under the bed.  One day I will own another.

I've never got on with any Orange amp I've ever tried.  Like people have commented - fuzzy.

I find the midrange boxy too.

That said, theres a great clip of Free playing Fire & Water with Koss playing through a Graphic head and it sounds awesome.

For me a 200 w head would be way to much. Its got tons of awesome gain. Its a nice British thick sound. I personally really dig that sound.
