Hi all, just installed my new BKP91 PUP on a Les Paul Junior.
Since the height of the PUP is not adjustable, I need to insert washers, play the guitar, try to remember how it sounds, then add or subtract a couple of washers and so on…. not very convenient when trying to find the optimal height !
Could anyone give me a hint on what distance is recommended between the PUP and the strings ? I am looking for a good balance between sound articulation and power; in other words: a ‘standard’ setting which allows to play clean articulate arpeggios while having sufficient bite to do some crunchy blues when turning the volume up.
thanks in advance !

I've got a pair of BKP90s in a 335 type and found the lower I had them the better they sounded. They get more open sounding, loads of warmth and clarity but still enough bite to drive the amp when I hit the strings. I'd imagine with the hotter 91's that the lower thing would be even more the case.

You could mount them on foam padding (mouse pad material). This makes them somewhat height adjustable.
