Title: Caparison Warpig?

Hi everyone,

I need some advice, I want to put a BKP on my Caparison Horus oiled walnut model, it´s tuned to B and need definition on low and mids, I don´t want a too highs or crispy sound,  I´m looking for warmer guitar like Evergrey or Soilwork.

The guitar is walnut body and ebony fretboard, Tim told me about Painkiller but I don´t know, I think the warpig do the  job, so what do you think?

Any advise? Alnico or ceramic for warm sound?

Pd: the guitar has direct mounting pickups so, should I choose long leg? is this correct?

As far as the p/ups go.....go with Tim's recommendation, as he is spot on every time. I would think that  short leg should be what you need for the caparison, but i would see whether any of the other users chip in with some Caparison related experience.

I have a Dellinger with an A-Pig and I'm totally pleased with it.
I'm personally into sounds like KsE, meaning warm and balanced but also yet brutal sounds like Black Dahlia Murder and the WP totally fits my needs!

If you don't need that much brutality go for a nailbomb! It has a quiet similar EQ Curve to the warpig, but is more organic sounding and less brutal (but still more than aggressive enough for metal stuff!).

What's the difference between long and short legged?  I was thinking of making a guitar with direct mounted pickups and I wasn't even considering this as an option.
