Title: Hiring amps - London
Post by: noodleplugerine on November 05, 2009, 10:54:19 PM
Playing a gig tomorrow night, need to rent an amp (blew a valve ;_;) - Anybody know anywhere in London where I can rent a 5150, or a JCM2000 or something for relatively cheap?

couldn't you just replace the valve(s)?

That's what I thought.  Throw in new valves for one gig, then get it re-biased.  Should be OK.

If you can get it to us we can fix it for you by early afternoon tomorrow. We are round the corner from Enterprise Studios so in the unlikely event of us not being able to fix it you could hire an amp from them.

id suggesting getting it fixed at JPF rather than hiring from enterprise. i don't like their amps and i once got shocked via my guitar while rehearsing there. they didn't seem too bothered. but to fair i wasn't as bothered as i should have been either.
