Just got myself a Sinner for my Strat and I've been looking into what neck pickup to get that matches with it well.
I played a gorgeous Strat with Irish tours today and quite liked it in the neck position, would it work well with the Sinner? or would a Trilogy be a better choice?

There was a thread that was quite similar recently:

And the outcome was Irish Tours.

Ah, that's solved that one. Thanks very much :D

Just got my Sinner installed on my Strat, lighter gauge strings and my god this pickup is ridiculous, in a good way. The same power as the Duncan Distortion in my Carvin but with that something extra you always get with Bareknuckle. Very clear, more sustain and looks cool.

Cool, what kinda styles would you play with it then? And what do you have in the middle and neck?
Just curious...

Mostly heavy stuff but I like to dabble with other things too. The neck and middle are the stock Fender pickups which sound ok, but I'll replace the neck pickup with an Irish tour in about a week.
I've got a new clip in the Players section of the forum if you want to have a listen.

Cool man, I will. The thread they referred to was mine but there was like one dude suggesting that it would be allright to pair sinners with Irish tours. More likely combination would be wit Trilogy suites. Just read the reviews on Harmony central. I'm still in doubt of what I'll be getting. Seriously concidering the Trilogy suite set for my strat. I've got another strat on order(vintage hot rod 57) so I'll wait till that arrives and then I'll make up my mind..I hope :D

I've got Trilogies in my strat ('68 RI) and I love them, awesome pickups.
Ideally I need 2 more strats - one with Sinner/Irish Tours and one with Mothers Milks!

Just fitted a sinner and some Trilogies on a left handed strat today
great vibe it gave the guitar - super cool for Blackmore & Malmsteen stuff

Cool,so Trilogy suite as a set...I'm stil struggling with my choice.
I want to have a modern strat sound (a la Malmsteen)but it has to have nice cleans as well, especially in middle and neck position. The bridge I use mostly for solo's and riffing. I'm still in doubt of getting a Sinner in the bridge instead...tough call

The Trilogy cleans are lovely. Certainly neck/middle - beautiful in my opinion.
If I were to do it again, I'd get a base plate on the bridge pup though.

Absolutely, I'm planning on getting a sinner for my Ibanez ORM-1 which only has a single pickup.
