I was looking @ the pics in the Gallery today. Are all those taken by Mr Pig?
Mr Pig, you have serious photographic chops! I salute you!

They are definately very good photographs of the pickups - really couldn't be any better... but then again, how many ways can you photograph a pickup?
I've just seen the new close-ups of the aged pup - THEY ARE AMAZING. Not just the photographs, but the pickups too - how do yu do it over there at BKP? miracle men!

Yep thats me, thanks TO.

indysmith - trust me, there are lots of ways to photograph guitars badly...
-
what gear are you using there Mr Pig? camera? lens? the lighting's always good too, looks pretty natural.
ehile i'm here, i'd just like to say i love the burnt chrome covers. trippy :P
-
Good question about the lighting. I never seem to be able to get that right with the digital camera. My normal camera never has any problems with that. It's over 30 years old and you have to set 3 different things before you can take a shot but man, the pics are gorgeous.

Ive got a Fuji film finepix s7000. No special lenses or anything. I just use sunlight as my lighting, you dont get any false colouring with it!
-
Is there sunlight in the UK?
-
Only when the rain hits the Netherlands... ;)
-
Nah, Mr. Pig personally sees to it that all the pickups are specially flown down to Spain to ensure optimal sunlight conditions for the top-class photography that you know BKPs deserve. It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it. Later this month, the new Alhambra pickup: cool in the shade, but hot outside!
OK, I'm gonna go get some more coffee now .....

well i'm impressed, but at the same time, a little disapointed. it's a bit like learning how a magic trick is done

I have a question here, actually. How do you achieve those perfect white backgrounds, but with the shadow? Is that a computer program?
Only one day I'd like to take some nice photos of my guitar on something other than my bedsheets...
-
Hey i second Willo's Question actually! How do you do that??!
-
piece of A4 paper or a white sheet for the guitars.
-
really? wow, it looks so good!
thanks for that, Steve :)
