this is just a quick recording i put together as a sound test for my new guitar.

i have a slight dilemma about changing the pickups

as it comes with some ibanez actives as stock and ibanez are lame and didnt drill a hole for earthing passives.

Does anyone know if theres an alternative way to do it or do i have to get it drilled?

if so does anyone have any idea roughly how much it will cost?

I'd get it drilled Tony. If I'm correct it's one drill to the back route, and then add wires and solder.

I think that's it really?

You could run a piece of wire from the bridge, into the bridge pickup cavity, and then through to the rest of the electronics, that'd work without any modifications to the guitar.

yeah, get it drilled.  either to the cavity or bridge pickup route,  whichever is easiest with the angles
