I've recorded four clips of this new amp, here's one to get you started - should be able to find the others easy enough...
http://www.youtube.com/user/TeleCustom72#p/u/2/jlizxRajonQ
I'm really happy with the way this one has turned out, really fat tone with enough gain to cover 60s rock/blues through to fairly heavy rock/metal.
These were all 1st take run throughs, so there are mistakes - its more about the amp's tone though, not my playing.
EDIT: btw, since this is the BKP forum, you will be glad to know that a BKP Axraxas set were used for these clips (unless noted otherwise).

Sounds really cool. Thats a lot of grind in there.
Is this the amp we talked about last year? Could you knock up a full on detuned metal clip please?
-
Sounds damn good, specially the AC/DC and ZZ Top clip
-
Dude you've stolen my new amp day thunder! :o
-
Very nice. What valves have you got in this little amp?

I know, sorry Ben - I couldn't wait. You should record some clips too when it gets to you next week.

+1 some technical infos would be very nice! no one could argue with the tone in those clips

no, its not that amp, this is FAR more polite than that amp will be.
this amp has four gain stages whereas yours will have between 6 and 8 gain stages and make this amp look like a country and western affair (i.e. serious br00talz!!!)
will see what I can knock up in the way of extreme metal goodness for you Mark.

two 12AX7s and a 6V6

nice so is converted epi
-
sweet, is that a modded VJ? Listening to the VH clips, very nice indeed.
-
Extremely funky.

it is and it isn't - 'modded epi' implies that the circuit has been tweaked, however in relality the chassis was stripped bare and the only things used from the EVJ are the mains transformer, speaker output jacks, IEC mains socket, the chassis and head cabinet. the actual circuit bares no resemblance to the Epi circuit.
however, I am looking at a way of incorporating this circuit into an EVJ and still using the existing PCB, but adding an extra ECC83 and of course gain, b/m/t, and master controls. should keep it more affordable for those who don't want a scratch build and might have an EVJ that isn't doing the business.

Cool
I just got hold of a reverb pedal which I had been wanting before making video clips with my HTH 10W SE amp
So hopefully I will now get a chance to make some clips

It's pretty simple but has a great sound - have to set it low or it gets all rockabilly on you
Clip here shows it off well

thanks. yeah, i figured it wasn't too close the the VJ, what with the 4 gain stages and all. i just meant the headshell, though that wasn't clear from how i worded it...

That slays, I like it!

That sounds well good HTH, all the clips, nice one :D
-
Sounds great man, congrats.
Bit more body in the tone would be the only thing I'd like, but that can be the cam/mic.

cheers Hunter. it sounds better in person and has plenty of body. might be your PC's speakers too - my laptop makes everything sound cr@p, but my desktop PC isn't too bad at all.

Ok
I just took this to band practice and flat out it is just loud enough to live with my heavy handed megadeth loving drummer, which is totally insane for a 5 watt amp. Its as lound as my 50watt orion with the volume at 3 o'clock! :o
-
Dude I really like the 10 watt marshall thing you should do a mini cranked JCM 800 some day

the 10w amp is pretty close to a JCM800, just hotrodded for more gain.
a JCM800 in a 10w, 5w, 1w or whatever you want is possible. actually, I did make a 1w JCM800 that sounded great, but I've since wired it up for something else as it was my experimental amp chassis.
