After practice last night with a full band I've got major ringing in the ears this morning making me think, I really do need to get some ear protection.
I need to get something, but I don't want to pay an absolute fortune for them (yes I know you get what you pay for etc.). Anyone got any recommendations please?

Make sure you get some specifically designed for musicians use so that they reduce the overall sound pressure level but allow the 'music' frequencies you want to hear to come through.
Suggest Elacin ER20 which are widely available at a reasonable price ( they "reduce sound levels by 16dB while minimizing high frequency roll-off providing high fidelity hearing protection for musicians and users in clubs and concert arenas").. (Google for outlets)

I've tried the Elacin ones and they're worth a go. I've just switched to Docs ProPlugs, which I find let a bit more top end through so you can hear the levels better.
Good range of stuff here, and good service:
