Title: 3-way switch for LP
Post by: Mr. Air on November 18, 2009, 03:59:27 PM
I need a 3 way switch for my LP copy, but it has to be longer than the standards when it comes to where you screw on the bolt/ring (I don't know what this particular thing/place is called). I hope you understand what I mean.

Anyone who can suggest a good webshop to buy one from?

Further more. What's the best UK webshop to buy pots and other electronics? Pots cost a fortune in Denmark. I sometimes wonder if shops here immerse them in gold before selling. That could explain their ridiculous pricing.

Try these:

http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/ (http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/)

http://www.allparts.uk.com/ (http://www.allparts.uk.com/)

Allparts seem to have put their prices up recently, so maybe WD will work out a bit cheaper.  I use them both pretty much equally.

This might not be a direct answer to your Q, but why do you need a longer switch shaft? If you have a dremel or something like that, just sand away a bit of wood. Normally I route the cavity until there's about 1 cm (2/5") left and then get out the dremel and sand away until the switch fits.
