Post by: mikeluke on November 22, 2009, 03:25:09 PM
Did anyone else catch Cheryl Cole with Snow Patrol on CIN? Maybe it was late and I was tired but I was actually quite impressed - wor lass can sing!

That's one of my favorite songs, but she is a total turn off. Give me Martha Wainwright any day (she sang on the original track)

I didn't see it, but I have read (on an X Factor forum   ) that she did a good job.

Staying awake through an entire Snow Patrol song is an achievement in itself!  :P

you were watching the same one as i was, right? To be fair i was kinda reading at the same time, but it sounded fairly poor to me.

EDIT: ^

paloma faith was fairly good. Not as good as usual, but at least she can actually sing and has good songs. maybe that was the next night, though.

Missed it. Is it being repeated on BBC18 or something?

Just looked it up on youtube:

Not bad - although she looks better with her hair down. Hair like that makes me think of a cheap face lift.

Yeah but compare it to the original. I would do wonderful things with Martha Wainwright.

And who would kick Cheryl Cole out of bed for making crumbs? (Provided she agreed not to talk that is...)

I like her and was surprised that you think she is hideous. I then realised why you think that way:

I love you Dave. In a totally manly way.

(it's not gay unless we cuddle afterwards)

Me, i think she is hideous.

I think she's very pretty, maybe even beautiful on the rare occasions she relaxes and isn't playing to the cameras.

But she's fairly irritating, and I always find that once I get used to someone (or the way they come across on TV, in this case) it no longer matters so much what they look like.  And of course it works both ways - someone who's just OK looking, but with a great personality, can be very attractive.

I suppose that's stating the obvious really.

Like I said - as long as she does not talk....

What Dave and I have transcends the simple Ms Cole. I just think she is totally horrible and her appearance does absolutely nothing for me.

apart from the Dave bit, i agree entirely.  hideous woman, don't understand why people seem to love her so much.  and when she speaks i want to gouge her eyes out with sharpened crayons! :)

agreed. also that she's got where she is based on her looks, when it should be based on how good a singer she is, goes against my grain.

also don't like her accent. I actually like the newcastle accent, but for some reason it doesn't work for her.

i noticed the diamonds
didn't see who actually used them though.

sweet product placement,
shame finding them in the UK is so hard. although 'Sounds Great Music' (Sounds more like terrible service) stock them.
used to see a spec op kicking about on denmark street but the shop it was in now sells saxophones.

I think that it was the other guitar player in Snow Patrol (not Gary who is singing)

I wholeheartedly agree sugarlips...

Mrs Cole pisses me off royally... No talent just marketing.  She looks good but I'd rather have Shania Twain who had that look first plus talent + personality + 10 times the wealth individually and through marrying Mutt Lange rather a traitorous tw@t like Cashley Cole...

Now Katy Perry... Well that's a mighty fine looking woman and that song always makes me remember the taste of Badgermarks cherry chapstick... Why won't he ever let me cuddle?  :(
