Great stuff!  But it is true that he can't get any better, unfortunately.  :(

i'm pretty sure its every guitarists wet dream to have somehow magically seen Hendrix and SRV on stage together, tradin licks to Voodoo Child!

Beat me to it.

The DVD was great, I just wish it was longer.

I must say that's some great playing from Stevie, but it doesn't really cut it for me. Can't really explain why, but it just doens't talk to me and it's not because I don't like the blues. Well maybe it's because I don't dig his tone that much.

Here's a clip with one of my favourite blues acts - Blue Junction.

Great vid/DVD.

I think it's on this DVD or the Austin city limits DVD that you see Stevie changing pickup selector to bridge position and back in the middle of a lick on "Pride and Joy". Amazing.

His tone is much better on this DVD than his performances from the late 80s where it looks like he was using JCM800s.

Ha ha ha. I just think his tone is a bit too trebly or biting or whatever. Just not my cup of tea. An amazing player though.

:( It actually makes me sad, his passion for the blues & guitar playing in general has always inspired me, just wish I had a tenth of his talent.

I love the fact he was always able to show that he learned the different styles he so refreshingly melded together
