Title: Marshall JMP2203
Post by: bucketshred on December 07, 2009, 10:21:42 PM
A mate of mine is up for flogging his JMP2203. It's in decent nick and would make a suitable backup (if it sounds better, a suitable full time amp) for my JCM800 2203.

Any ideas how much it is worth?

with the JCM800s it depends on whether its a vertical or horizontal input amp.  the earlier vertical input ones command more cash and allegedly sound best, however the best JCM800 2203/2204 I've ever played (stock) was Ben Martin's (catalyst77) 1986 horizontal input 2204.

At least £600 IMO. Anything above that depends on when last serviced

I only paid £300 for that; and it's still the best amp ive ever played! :D

I sold a JCM800 2203 on Ebay earlier this year.  That sold for £510.

how much they worth if they have an added gain boost button on the front, local shop had one in a while ago for £300ish, I think it needs a retube but I wouldn't be surprised if it was still there

that would be a decent price if you're not arsed about cosmetics.
