this band were such a large part of my life between 15 and 21, I remember having heard the Bleach album and waiting for Nevermind to come out - exciting days. this footage is from '89 before they recorded Nevermind and signed to Geffen, just awesome (never seen it before)...

Great find! One of the first bands I was ever massively into (and I still am). It's amazing to think that just over a year after this they were massive.

And on the other hand, its amazing to think that just over a year after this they were massive.
I was into the whole nirvana thing in my early to mid teens too. I even still listen to a song now and then and quite enjoy it. But this is horrible!

My big memory of Nirvana is seeing the "... Teen Spirit" video late one Friday night on Noisy Mothers and thinking "What the $% is this?". Then seeing it again a couple of weeks later and thinking "This is absolutely brilliant".
And six months later hair metal was dead.
