Title: C-pigs on my band's new EP
Post by: northlane.josh on December 11, 2009, 01:22:07 PM
Hey guys, haven't posted here in a while,

My band just finished tracking our EP and uploaded a song off it onto our myspace earlier tonight.
make sure you suss it out and let me know what you think.
We used c-pig equipped mahogany bodied ibanez JC's/RGT prestige's into a chaos modded 0D808 into a bias modded mk1 5150 with 5881's into a recto cab.
and our producer used 2 SM57's, one offset and an NT-2
no double tracking was used.

please let me know what you think, really happy with the tone we got.

cheers boys,
really glad you liked it.
we managed to get it to sound thick and saturated enough but still very clear and punchy with alot of hig-midrange and no mud. Just got the master copy today so there should be more songs up soon. We actually used a painkiller equipped RG8420Z on some other songs too.

C-Pigs are the brutal equivalent to "funkadellic".

Sweet!

Really enjoying these tracks. Love the thick but well defined tone.

Top stuff.
