Really great sounding instrument - especially since he says it is played into a guitar amp. There is some serious bottom end in the sound, but not with the traditional Gibson muddy bass sound!
-
really interesting
-
Ooooh, that's nice. Manic Depression sounded very good indeed.
-
AWESOME!!
-
Phil X = cool
-
YEAH! HEY! WHAT'S UP MAN? Aaaah!! PHIL X! Drrrt!
Low-key as ever.
That guitar/bass is very cool though.
-
Anybody have any idea what something like that would be worth?
-
Not a clue! £5000ish????
-
If there were really only sixty some made in total I would think it would be more than $15,000, even though it has limited appeal.
-
looks like the kind of thing Meshuggah would use if they were around in the 60s....
-
I think Noel Redding played one of these (borrowed from Chas Chandler) on the earliest of Jimi Hendrix Experience recordings along with a Fender Bass VI
-
Is this what a Fender Bass VI essentially is?

That's a very cool instrument.
How does that bass boost circuit work?
