I ordered a Painkiller bridge and a Nailbomb neck a while ago for my old mahogany Jackson soloist and am quite happy with the results. Now I plan on getting a new guitar (possibly a Caparison TAT II, maple neck-through with alder wings) and I'm wondering if my BKPs could work well with that wood combination.
I'm aware it's a very different sounding guitar but still ... how do you guys think it would sound with the BKPs ?
My main amp is a Mesa Roadster which is rather bassy and not overly bright.
I'm after a tight and aggressive tone for heavy metal ...
Thanks!

Unless your Soloist is pre-'94 (approx, when Jackson often used poplar for the body wings), or one of the SL2H-MAH models which are mahogany, then it's the same maple neck/alder body wings combination as the TAT.
To answer your question, yes the PK works well in maple/alder neck-thru guitars (I have it in my KV2).

Thanks.
Actually, my Jackson is a 2005 SL2H-MAH with the trans-black finish.
BTW, Tim also agreed the pups should work well in my new guitar.
