Hey all,
By now everyone has had their Christmas parties so what did you all do? Me and my fellow workers hit it up at Dave & Busters, its like a game and bar place. Made an embarrassment of myself at guitar hero...that game is bollocks and I don't know why anyone would think just cause you play an instrument you would instantly be teh expert on some piss-poor replication of the actual thing...but whatever. Looked rather foolish at the basketball shootout (hadn't touched one in over a year) but I did crush the my employees utterly at air hockey (tis my NINJA REFLEXES)
My only real regret of the night was later on the evening we went to ihop, and the the table next to us brought had some sort of portable music device and were having a Bon Jovi singalong, upon which I'm pretty sure I committed suicide and then reincarnated myself...but whatevs.

Same as every year - I hung around for the dinner then disappeared off home as soon as the music went up, the lights went down and everyone started dancing.
I'm not a party person, I'm afraid!

I'm not much of a party person really. I did however stay until 2am at our 'do'. I was fairly sober for the duration and had a decent enough time. There were a few of the usual coming togethers that led to embarrassment in the office the next day. I avoided the dance floor aswell - I'm not much of a mover.
I'm waiting to hear how Afghan got on at his!

nothing my work colleages and myself are so cheap we didn't go out

Glad it's not just me

Went to a Gordon Ramsay pub and cleared it out of Jack Daniels, then at some point a load of us went back to the studio and carried on partying until 5. Was great fun :)
-
I managed to get out of mine at the last moment because of the bad weather. I live further away than most of the others so I was grateful for the poor conditions. I hate office parties.

haha same here, bit cr@p when you're my age as all my mates go to town. I'd rather just have a laugh at the pub than go to some shite and expensive nightclub..

I was in France for work and therefore missed it....
What a shame - I was gutted - no, really I was, honest....

Me too. I absolutely detest night clubs. Give me a pub anyday (an old pub, not a new pub/club style thing)

Sadly we didn't have one :(
Not that we usually do , but sometimes we go out, although this year the foul weather and busy personal schedule of one member of staff (two girlfriends = it's complicated - not me I should add!!!) just made it fall by the wayside . I will drag them out for a curry in the New Year!

Wasn't too bad my way apart from my friends putting my name down for Don't Cha? by the Pussycat Dolls when I went for a piss :D
-
Finally realised that I'd reached an age where the lure of free booze wasn't quite enough...so I didn't go. Went and had a couple of decent drinks elsewhere instead.

Received a none-too-subtle pat/squeeze on the rear end from one of the nurses I work with. Sadly, said nurse was male and my door doesn't swing that way.....
-
Same as every year... I didn't go.
I work with them 45+ hours a week, I sure as hell don't want to waste my precious socialising time with them as well...

I really enjoyed an afternoon with my collegues and later in the evening there was a party for the current as well as old students (I'm a high school teatcher). So me and a few of the other young teachers went to party with the students. I had a drink and talked with some of them and got on the dancefloor for some quick movies. Afterwards two old students mistook me for a freshman (or what you call first year students). I didn't know I look THAT young! Quite hillarious :D

This reminds me of that radio show who calls people up, who are cheating on their other half. It was some radio show in England I really wish I could remember.
