I'm interested in putting a blower switch on my PRS like on the Guthrie Govan signature Suhr (and many Anderson guitars, and also some Yamaha RGXs). http://www.suhrguitars.com/artistModels.aspx?series=gg (http://www.suhrguitars.com/artistModels.aspx?series=gg)
I want to be able to go from anywhere on the pickup selector (I use the rotary) straight to the bridge humbucker, with volume and tone controls bypassed, with one switch. I've never seen a schematic, but I know it can be done. I'm just wondering if it can be done on a PRS, or whether the already fiendishly complex wiring would stop me.

off the top of my head it sounds like it'd be fairly simple.
just wire the hot wire of the bridge pickup to a switch, then out to the output jack. the other side of the switch would route the hot wire to the selector switch (or pot) as normal.
have you got a wiring diagram of your actual guitar? - post it here and I'll draw up the mod.

+1
Pretty easy to do
Would you use a mini toggle or a push/pull pot?

Being a single channel amp man and having just seen Guthrie demonstrate it at his clinic - I'd be interested in knowing how to do it on a push / pull pot

Thanks for the tips, Feline and HTH. I'm still in two minds about push-pull or mini toggle. I would find a mini toggle more convenient to use, but a push pull would look better to my eyes.
Here's the official PRS wiring diagram. I don't know why it's so small, but it blows up OK.

i think the blower switches on things like andersons work differently. They essentially bypass all the series/split/parallel and pickup switches so the bridge pickup is full series.... but the volume and tone controls still function normally
although by the sounds of it the complete bypass will work better for you anyway

I can understand that, but how would you do it if you wanted to be able to split the bridge humbucker like in the original Guthrie Govan layout? Does anybody have the schematic for the Suhr GG model (HSH) with blower switch (push-push), additional neck PU split (push-pull) and 5-way-switch functions, or can create it? I know that you need a 5-way megaswitch to achieve the split combinations between the humbuckers and the single coil, but beyond that I have no idea how to incorporate the other functions.
