Title: Ebay Feedback
Post by: goddamn electric on January 05, 2010, 08:15:19 PM
Does anybody know how i can hurry someone up to leave feedback?

2 people i sold to a week or so before christmas havent left feedback yet and i could do with it for my profile.

I've messaged them and they've confirmed that the items arrived safe and I stressed that they need to leave feedback, im sure they will, but i want them to hurry up.

I checked on the help pages but they are useless

Is there anything I can do officially, short of going to the delivery address and punching them? I dont think thats an official process.

cheers in advance

Agreed.

Don't despair, sometimes people will go in and leave feedback for a whole batch of purchases at once.  I've had feedback months after the sale a few times.

I'm one of those late feedbackers. I ususally give it at least a week before leaving a feedback for any major purchases.

I don't leave feedbacks immediately because any undescribed problems with the item might not be immediately obvious. Like if you bought an amp or something and it keeps cutting off sounds or something. It might work the first couple of times you plugged it in, but what if it stopped working couple of days after? If you've already left a good feedback the seller is less likely to help you (but I don't blackmail or anything ). Seller's responsibility doesn't end when he/she ships the item.

I usually leave feedback in bulk when I can be arsed - there is no stipulation that feedback must be left.  I actually boils my piss when people email me asking to leave feedback (especially when they email more than once).

I've never chased anyone over feedback, but I think it's just good etiquette to leave it.  It's not as if it takes much effort.

I've stopped worrying about it, unless someone decides to leave bad feedback for no reason. These days I just give an honest appraisal of the seller or buyer and hope that they reciprocate.

i normally leave feedback pretty quickly as a buyer (once i've checked the item thoroughly). That's not entirely altruistic, though, normally i need the return feedback more than the seller does
