Title: Recording: Pod Farm UX1 Garageband
Post by: Dmoney on January 11, 2010, 12:15:25 PM
YO

So, i got the Macbook, and ive been getting my head around it.

last night was my first try at garageband.
I got a good clean track and messed with some drum loops, got the metronome and count in working, so im feeling pretty confident and it is much easier than other things ive tried.

im finding it a struggle to get a good distortion tone out of the models, everything sounds really thick and muddy.
I've tried the guitar (LPC w/ rebel yells) directly into the macbook input, via the UX1 USB interface, and i've alos tried playing with the FX Send out on my uberschall and the line out on my hotplate.

Non really sound that good. I haven't figured out how to use the Pod farm models with garageband yet. maybe that will help, but im not a huge fan of those either.

so im just looking for some suggestions really.
