Saw 'em in Cambridge lat night, and they rocked! (Of course :))
Quite a queue to get in when the doors opened at 7.30, but opting for a swift half at a nearby watering hole turned out to have been a mistake, since Girlschool must have started their set almost before the first punter got through the gate! When I headed into the venue at 8pm, they had almost finished their set, which sucked since though they're more Grannyschool than Girlschool these days ;) I've seen them a few times before and they are an excellent rock band. At but at least the few songs I heard sounded excellent.
In Flames were the advertised support act, but though I'd heard good things about them, I didn't really get into it. Kinda hard to catch the vibe of a loud metal act who's songs you don't know in a venue that is basically a barn, I guess!
Motorhead at last appeared after a break that was almost as long as Girlschool's whole set, and of course rocked like all get out! Things were pretty energetic down at the front :). The band ripped it up with a good mix of songs from their (obviously) very long career and seemed to be having a good time, Lemmy gurning away and grinning at Phil (who by now is looking not quite as haggard as Lemmy, but getting up there ;). I was kind of disappointed there were no guest appearances from Girlschool members, but hey .....
My ears may stop ringing by the time they're next in town . Go see them if they come to yours!
