Just going through some old pics and found a few of guitars I no longer own (for one reason or another):

I miss some of these - but don't miss others too much.
For some reason I didn't take pics of a few guitars that I no longer own.

Interesting...
I haven't got any pics of guitars I no longer own
Mind you, it has to be said I'm not a big photo taker/keeper (I've actually passed up on posting a NAD and then a NGD thread last month because I couldn't be @rsed to get the wife's camera going...)

Nice 335 there mate! I recognise a couple of those others ;)

Yes, nice 335!
We've seen that Signature a few times, haven't we!

That's the one I regret the most. I traded it for the '57 reissue. Completely idiotic.

Nice guitars!

I guessed that might be the one.
Still think it's an interesting thread - raises some strange emotions for me: I find it hard to say "nice guitars" about instruments that, for you, are "gone". There's some beauties there, but it feels kind of "oh dear, that's a bit of a shame" at the same time...
(I'm guessing that it's some sort of subconscious January GAS reaction that you're experiencing )

I have always like the look of these and still fancy one - but all that gold hardware /pickups would have to go
Just makes the guitar look tacky IMO
After a fret dress/refret and a decent setup and a set of BKPs (black ones) it would be pretty tasty
-
I hadn't noticed the gold bits - YUKK!
The inlay stuff is very pretty though :D
-
Nice Gretsch! Exactly the same of the ones I've been drooling over for two deades. Orange, with the half moon inlays.
What was it like?
Nice 335 too. How could you!
I've never sold a guitar but then again i've not owned that many.

The Gretsch was pretty nice and played very well indeed. The Indie Dragon was also good but pretty soon after I got it I decided that I didn't really like FR's, the gold was pretty tacky and even after light use was starting to wear.
As stated easrlier the 335 is the one that I truly regret selling - however, if I had not have sold it it wouldn't have kicked off the following chain reaction:
335 > '57 reissue > '75 tele > Esquire > CS '62 strat
And I am very happy with the strat! I may look out for a Tokai 335 copy in the future as I doubt I will find another Gibson 335 for the price I paid for the one in the pic (£999).

Ian - try a Yamaha SA2200 as your 335 alternative.... I've heard nothing but good reports about them
