Hi guys!
I really love my Gibson 500T in the bridge of my Strat (lol).
I had a really hard way trying to find a good pair for it. All neck pickups I try result of lacking clarity or volume.
They mud or they shut up.
Not nice.
Any guess? PK, CS, MM?
Thanks!

gibson 496r
you'll start getting disappointed with the 500t if you put a BKP in the neck
I used to LOVE the gibson 496r over most neck pickups (and over the 500t too), so I bought one for cheap to match a cold sweat bridge
then, for the first time, I realized the 496r was icepicky, sterile, fizzy

Well, I really love my 500T, but I'd like to find that sounds bad compared to another one :D
Any BKP to go with it? (for now)

i think a duncan jazz could work well based on my experience with the 500t and an SD '59. the 500t isn't bad, but i disliked the 496R alot too.
then when you get bored of that combo fit a full BKP set :)

I agree with Eric. If you love the 500T chances are you'll go completely bananas for a BKP. I've replaced the 500T in my guitar with a Miracle Man and it is - at least to my ears - a great improvement.
Also, try swapping out the pots on the pickups. New 500K ones worked wonder on my neck pickup.
May I kindly inquire what type of guitar you have (and pictures mayhaps)?

Well, I was asking for a BKP to go with the 500T
And I have good pots and caps, don't worry hehe.
And for sure I will change my 500T if I find it to be compleatly worse than the new BKP neck.
What should I put on?
Oh! And I have a Strat Plus (alder, maple, rosewood, with a big pool...).
And actually have the 496r on neck, but don't like it. Muddy, not well paired with the 500T...
