What do you use?
are some better than others?
I just want to be able to show some guys what I'm working on but I don't want to be emailing things around.
what do you use?
-
I use Soundlick. Pretty good, I guess.
-
Same here
-
cheers! ill check it out
-
soundclick seems to be the standard.
I just put stuff in dropbox and post links though.
-
Soundclick works well if you don't mind using mp3 with a 10MB limit.
I would use proper hosting if you want higher resolution.
-
10Mb is more than enough for 1 song.
I'm not so touchy about compression, as long as its not TOO compressed.
-
10Mb is more than enough for 1 song.
Heh, speak for yourself. I have a few songs with my new band that, even at 128, will not fit within 10 Meg!
-
hahaha
oh the advantges of limiting myself to 3mins per song max.
with only a couple of instruments.
minimalism.
-
Soundcloud is much better than soundclick, but it does have an upload limit of 5 tunes a month or something like that.
-
There was a good one that Indysmith posted last year which gave an image of the whole sound file on the screen with a big megabyte rate but I've forgotten what its called!
Edit, after a quick search in the players section ...... http://soundcloud.com

I went for soundcloud.
seems really neat!
im doing 3 bands now, one of which doesnt really exist apart from in my head, and another is between me and a guy in Detroit. (Not Eminem). So it'll be handy. cheers!

You need to ask the site admin for a tripcode to upload audio, he's had problems with people uploading copyright material in the past
