do you know of any micro power amp that's more powerful than the EHX 22 caliber for emergency use in live situations? i'd say 50 W...

Crate powerblock might be a good one.
Other than that im not sure unless you ant another head altogether.

If you can find one I'd second the Crate Powerblock. That's what I use as back up. Small enough & light enough to fit in my bag with my effects & leads. Even use it for band practise sometimes when I don't fancy taking my rack.
Mine has gone silent after 4 years of pretty heavy use though, so it's with HTH at the moment to see if it can be fixed.

If you do happen to like the look of the powerblock, i've got one that I keep meaning to put on eBay, so give me a shout :)

i definitely like its look!
i was looking for something different (a simple final stage to use with a POD or similar as a pre), but if i'll manage to find some sample (and i like them, of course) i'll let you know very soon!

If you're using a modelling pedal with the Powerblock you can plug it in to the Line-In on the back & that bypasses the Preamp/EQ section & goes straight to the poweramp (you have to control your volume from the pedal though & not the amp if you do that).
