Ok so last weekend we got 2 feet of snow and my car cannot go anywhere, so i was stuck at home. Right now we are getting an extra foot of snow followed by 4 inches of ice accumulation. I am so sick of winter and not being able to do anything or go anywhere. Plus, i have fallen several times, which were followed promptly by thirty minutes of swearing. GAAAAHHHHHRAWR. anyone else having these issues?

When it was snowing here last month I was just how you are. My car couldn't get grip on anything and some complete tw@t hit my car, damaging it and not leaving details.
Couldn't get to work so I missed out on a few days pay and got fed up with my clothes getting wet and dragging it everywhere.
I wouldn't mind so much if we had certain things in place to deal with it, but because we get it rarely we're never prepared for it and we don't have enough resources to deal with it. I envy places like Canada where it doesn't seem to phase them

I seem to remember that SNOW (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D39Lm_HRfOs) was very popular in the early '90s.
-
I should be used to snow by now, seeing that I live in the mountains, but it is starting to get a little crazy even for us. My college canceled a whole day of classes, which is the only time that has happened in the three years i have been here and we usually get a lot of snow. This winter has been brutal so far.
I actually have that song buried somewhere in my collection, which is pretty eclectic.

The fun of it is over for me.
For the past three weeks I've been planning to pick up a new bumper cover for my Mustang. Every weekend the snow starts to come down again making the trip impossible.
I drove 150 km last saturday night. It was a nightmare. It took me 2.5 hours and saw two cars sliding off the road and into the barrier.
I also want to get started polishing and touching up the car but I can't do a thing with these low temperatures.
Come on, spring! Get a move on!

No snow here, but I liked the very last day of it. It was nice fluffy snow. Not killer ice type snow.

That is how the snow we got last week was, fluffy and easy to shovel, but the stuff that is still coming down now is turning into sleet and freezing rain, which tends to ruin any plans of leaving the apt. i might have. And I live beyond walking distance from anywhere.

OK. so a state trooper knocks on our door and tells us we have to get our cars off the side of the road or they will be towed. This means we had to shovel our whole driveway that was covered with three feet of snow and ice and dig out our 8 cars and park them in said driveway, all of which have two wheel drive rear.

Do you not have any grit? If only I was there, I like shovelling- dare I say.

Oh it only gets better. Today is bllizard conditions with a foot of extra snow/ice and 80 mph winds and 90 mph gusts. We still have class. And we do salt our driveway, but the snow over powers ir.

Snowed here today for about 5-10 minutes, pathetic really  It's now sunny so hopefully it'll dry up in the next few days so I can ride my bike on proper ground (not pavements)!

When I woke up this mo-nin' (tadada-dada)
The world was covered in snow (again!)

8 cars :o. Surely your servants should have done the hard work for you :)

Naw, I live in a duplex and all eight tenants have their own cars. I am just about broke.

We drove home from Tunbridge Wells last night in the snow, absolutely horrid. We were fine until we got to Northants and it was like a blanket!

It has actually been sunny these past two days. It is weird when you see people staring at the sky because they have forgotten what the sun and blue sky looks like. I, for one, do not remember what exactly grass looks like.

... Bump. Anyone else have snow at the moment?

Yup been snowing on and off here since 5am. Is lovely, shame it'll likley be the last we see this year, bring on November I say
-
It's not really cold enough here for it to be nice snow. It's sticking in places but the roads and pavements are covered in slush, mostly. Just a bit miserable.
-
No-been pissistently raining though.
-
I like it
-
yeah, we had snow here yesterday and today, on and off. it lay for a while, then melted, then more fell. I think it's melted again now.
-
We've only had hail here today but its been bloody cold all day. Really can't wait for summer now.
-
bring on November I say
+1!
-
Awful wind chill today, that's about it
-
No snow here but hail stones.

I may get roundly criticised for this but.....
ffs!
Man up and stop complaining about the weather!
:D

A few years ago I wouldn't have cared or complained about the weather. Now I do more outside stuff (mountain biking) its a real pain in the arse. Still rideable in the wet but its not nearly as fun because you have to be more careful not to slip as I did the other day!
And sticky mud always seems to mess my gears up :x

We're (mostly) British, what else are we going to do?
