Just wondering? I have a C-pig in the bridge of my RG550 not sure I'm getting along with it. I LOVE my Miracle Man set in my Les Paul.

I have a Nailbomb in the bridge and two Irish tours in my Charvel 475.
Cheers

An Alnico Warpig would have been the wiser choice in basswood I think...
Nailbombs work really well in basswood and so do normal Warpigs - You might wanna get the magnets changed if you like where the C-Pig is going...

I've got a Nailbomb, Miracle Man, VHII and Painkiller all in basswood. All sound different but all good.

I have a miracle man in a basswood ibanez RG430F/TBL. It's great! Not a patch on the black dog in that WezV vociferator you see in my avatar, though ;)
MM in basswood for me handles the low end well, with screaming pinch harmonics unfeasibly easy, but has a great tightness to the tone, along with real aggression. That's on downtuned stuff, mind.
Hope this helps,
Roo

Nailbomb works well in basswood..

I have a Nailbomb set with Irish Tour middle pickup and also a Stormy Monday with 2 Sultans in a strat. Both sound good, but the SM/Sultans get some great classic rock and heavy tones that you wouldn't expect (especially through a JTM45).

i got a warpig in my charvel fusion

The guitar is tuned down a whole step. I use this guitar for children of bodom, death, and firewind mostly. I was pondering a c-bomb but I wonder if I should try a pickup with an alnico magnet? I have always used a ceramic pickup though.

if it's only a tone down, I'd stick with ceramic. You're presumably not using a long scale length and fat strings on there. Course, it depends on your amp to a certain degree, too, and your style of playing. I use huge strings on a baritone tuned down to A-E-A-D-F#-B, and I hit them very hard, so a black dog gives just the right amount of push into a boosted 5150 to get utterly filthy. I never had a problem with a miracle man in a basswood ibanez (25.5" scale) in the same tuning with a set of 13s, although that was unboosted into the same amp.
Upshot: Unless you slam the front end of your amp particularly hard, I think you're better off with ceramic pickups.

So I had tried adjusting the pickup height before and could not get it to work out. Today I tried again and went pretty low with it. I finally found the sweet spot for this pickup. It kicks so much tail now. I love the grind!
