Title: ceramic nailbombs in an alder ESP SV shred machine!
Post by: asianaxeman on February 11, 2010, 09:03:20 PM
Hey guys,

Need your opinion on my soon to be new BKP purchase.

Guitar- alder ESP SV, ebony board, Floyd- currently with JB 59s
Tuning D-standard/ drop C
Genre -  thrash , melodic death metal
NEEDS- more punch, output and tightness

I decided tightness is imperative so narrowed it down to c-bomb bridge
Need to have singing leads with tight pick attack for shred runs with the neck- can't decide between CS neck and nailbomb neck

opinions appreciated please

Thanks

I'd recommend trying the Cold Sweat first.

cheers mate, just been admiring your tone and slick playing on the B6 videos- those sweeps sound so fluid with the cold sweat neck. c-bomb bridge and cold sweat neck seems like a very healthy option! I think you're setting a trend! look forward to more of your vids.

One thread on the topic isn't enough?  :P

Yes: Cold Sweat Neck

Yes: C-Bomb - had them in a Jackson KV-2. Indeed very Tight but too bright and not enough ''body'' for me...

Atleast in this guitar.

Really? My KV2 had loooads of body, even with the stock JB.

Just got Tim's message back, he agrees that a ceramic nailbomb would be best for the guitar and style I'm looking to play since it is tight and has a balanced midrange- essential to an alder geetar! Will pull the trigger soon boys and keep you posted...

Might be my personal preferance but Ceramics in maple neckthrough just don't do it for me...
