Post by: murraymurray on February 15, 2010, 06:31:07 AM
Hey guys, havent been on here for bit, site got blocked at work and thats where i had spare time to look at forums.
but just got a new gat so thought i should share
(http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee282/muzz989/119220493_full.jpg)

its a mid 80s MIJ george lynch prototype, the story is that kramer were preparing to make these but then lynch switched to esp (who made the MIJ kramers at the time)
so not sure how many of these are around, found 1 other when scouring the net.

havent put it through its paces yet, but first impressions are that it rules. pretty much like new condition, little bit of general swirling and one small scratch by the jack
got a tb4 in the bridge at the moment, might have to change that at some point but will have to wait for a bit to get some more cash.

Normally I am a traditionalist in that I like Strat derived guitars to look like Strats but that has a purity about it that appeals. Congratulations.

Don't like the colour but I do like the guitar. Having owned a Barreta in the 80's I like my Kramers.

Is the pickup switch on a push pull pot?

THE MIJ Kramers were made by ESP anyway!
With Dokken & Lynch's popularity in Japan at the time (1986) it made sense for ESP to have him as their endorsee

Needs a Miracle Man in there!

Was just going to say MM!

Not a fan of 80's style guitars but this one I quite like. Nice purchase dude!

Very nice!

BTW - Some dude on the Kramer forum bagged a prototype USA made Gibson Nightswan - one of only two ever completed.

I love these types of guitar.

Very sweet. I've got a Baretta from 86, if it's half as good as that you've got an awesome guitar!

That guitar is awesome.  I love me some 80s superstrat goodness and that delivers.

Not really a superstrat fan, but I love the colour and the matching headstock!
