Hi guys new user here. Got my sultans set in my custom classic strat on saturday. My oh my what a sound :D. After plenty of years mucking about with midboosts, vintage noiseless (Vintage toneless) pickups, wiring looms that look like the the dashboard wiring on a toyota yaris. S1, blender pots. I finaly remembered why I love the stock wired singlecoil strat sound.
Anyhow now to the point.
I have amongst others a very nice 57Hotrod strat. I absolutely love the thing. Its a real adaptable, versatile guitar. One thing is niggling me however. The dimarzio Tonezone singlecoil sized humbucker. Its got a good sound to it for that 70's driven sound, but is of little use aside from that. It just spews mid's out. I know dimarzio didnt design the stacked version to measure exactly the same as their full sized version. They aimed to replicate the sound rather than the readings.W
ill Bare Knuckles be venturing into this singlecoil sized humbucker market? I have a strong desire for a singlecoil sized PG set.

Nope - not something Tim wants to do as I understand it.

Tim's certainly said in the past that he had no intention of making stacks or side-by-side S/C-sized humbuckers.

Time to get the chisel and router out!

in the currently advertised BKP range, I would suggest a baseplated slowhand or a sinner bridge. or maybe experiment with a baseplate on your existing sultan bridge. putting a tone control on the bridge (various ways to do it) might help too.
my baseplated slowhand does a good '70s driven sound' but its still a strat singlecoil

Thanks for straightening that out for me guys.
I cant see me getting the router to that guitar and I'm certainly not losing the sultans bridge pickup in the customclassic. That guitars for something else entirely and is perfect as is.
Thankyou for your replies.
