Have tried searching all over the net but still not found a specific enough answer. Which Earvana nut do I need for my Epiphone Les Paul Custom. It has a 1.68" Nut Width, so I guess I want one of the 1 and 11/16" Gibson ones, but which one, retrofit flat base, curved base or OEM?
I won't be fitting it myself, it will be fitted by a luthier along with a re-fret.

In case he doesn't see this thread, I'd suggest a PM to Jonathan (FELINEGUITARS) - he knows all there is to know about Earvana.

I agree with Philly. But I'm also wondering, won't the luthier know what's needed?
eg. If I was going to do this, and Jonathan would be my luthier, I'd go "while you're at it, stick one of they Earvana thingummies on it... how much does that add to the cost?" :D
I'd expect him to worry about the technical details about what the specific guitar would need, and only defer decisions such as "luxury model" or "standard model" (if such a thing exists in this case) to me.
I'm probably missing something fundamental though, like you feel happier buying the bits first

Hi there
We are probably the biggest stockist of Earvana in the UK and are just setting up a website www.earvana.co.uk (http://www.earvana.co.uk), but need to revamp it to make it very easy to select the product you need
With respect to your Epiphone:
You need the Gibson shelf nut version in the 1 11/16" width
We have them in stock in both black and ivory
(we also have the 1 5/8" if your Epi is narrower than 43mm - it's what I have on my new Lion )
Cost is £24 plus £2 P&P
Ring me on 0208 680 9131 andf we'll sort one out over the phone
Simples.....
BTW - we now have the shelf nut in Fender fit in both 1+11/16" (9.5" or 12" radius) or 1+5/8" (7.25" or 12" radius)

Cheers Jonathan, I ordered one from your site.
AndyR, good point. Though I usually like to try and understand as much as possible whenever possible, the more I can do/be aware of then the less there is to potentially go wrong, hopefully

Thanks for the order Shan
Will get it mailed out tomorrow hopefully
-
Jonathan fitted an Earvana on my LP standard and it made a huge improvement on how in tune the open chords sound, well worth it imo
-
Was mailed out of Friday - hope you get it soon (if you haven't already)

Yep I got it on Saturday, cheers for that!
